On 9th March, my class went to Malacca as the second batch. Primary 6-1, 6-2, 6-6, 6-8 and 6-10 went to Malacca on the 2nd March. They arrived on 3rd Malacca. Primary 6-3, 6-4, 6-5, 6-9 and my class were on the second batch. We went to Malacca on the 9th March and we arrived on 10th March.
My class’s Tour Manager from Singapore is Mr. Kumar and our Tour Guide in Malaysia is Mr. Khairil. Our Coach Captain is Mr. VJ and our Coach Number Plate is JA 6699. I share room with Jessy and Geraldine! Our Tag Code is T49. We stayed in Room 1009 of Emperor Hotel in Malacca.
As early as 6.20a.m., pupils with haversacks were already seen walking into our school when the proposed time to assemble is 6.30a.m. We left school at 7.10a.m. After about 2 hours, we reached Yong Peng for a break. After the break, we continued our journey to Malacca.
After two hours, we finally reached Malacca. We visited some of historical sites of Malacca, which also included the Famosa, St. Paul Church. Mr. Khairil gave us with very useful information on the places we had visited. After that we reached our hotel, The Emperor Hotel, to have our lunch. During that time, the leaders were also given keys of the hotel rooms and were told which rooms they were. After our lunch, we went back to our hotel rooms to put our travel bags. After we had put our travel bags, we went to the ground floor to assemble. We then continued to visit the historical places of Malacca.
At 6p.m., we went back to our hotel. All of us had to take a quick bath as we need to assemble again at the 6th floor for dinner in the hotel. As soon as we came back from dinner, we can start having party in the hotel rooms. But, the rules were that we could not make too much noise and we must go back to our hotel rooms to sleep at 10p.m. By this time, we were dead tired.
The next day, my roommates and I woke up at 5.30p.m. to have a quick bath. At 6.a.m., there was a morning call. We went to 6th floor again to have our buffet breakfast. It was indeed delicious! After that we had the ‘Amazing Race’. In our groups, we must complete a worksheet. It was all about the places that we had went the previous day. The one with most number of correct answers won!
After the race, the bus took us to the Bee Farm. It was an interesting place where we got to taste pure honey made by the bees. We also saw how the bees make the honey! Then, we went back to the hotel and took our lunch. After the heavy lunch, we went to take our travel bags. Finally, we got back into our bus and…… back to Singapore!
Reflections!
I felt really happy about the trip. It was really fun. I had learnt lots of things. I learnt that the 14 stripes in the Malaysia flag stands for the equality of the 13 states and the federal government. I also learnt that Malaysia is about 485 times the sizes of Singapore and it shares borders with Singapore, Thailand, Indonesian and Brunei. I also know that Famosa is relics of a Portuguese fort. I think this trip was a fruitful one.
