Tuesday, May 29, 2007Woah! June holiday had come!!!! It is so fast. What would you like to do in this holiday? You could tell me in the Holiday Vote colume! Well, we had done our examinations and gets back our report book, so it is time for us to relax in this holiday! Yippee! Actually, I am going oversea this holiday. I will be going to Genting and Ipoh and will be there for four days and three nights. I think it will be enjoable and fun too! I will also study and read too!
On 26th May 2007, my family and I went to the World Book Fair at Suntec City. There were a lots of interesting books to read and, of course, there were lots of people. The World Book Fair was on the 4th floor. That was not all. On the 6th floor of Suntec City, there was the Aquarama 2007. There was a lot of fascinating fish too! The entry ticket cost $8. There were lots of people who bought fish tanks. We also a fish giving birth to its babies and a fish with 2 head! This is what I done during the holiday! So, what about you? School Sports Day!
In every school physical exercise is an important as a learning subject. So children are encouraged to participate in schools. Annul sports meet in school is meant for pupils to compete and win prizes. This will help them to develop their physical skill in sports and games.
Our annual school sports day was held on Friday, 11th May 2007. It was held at the Hougang Stadium. We must be there at 7.30a.m. The guest of Honour of this event is Mrs. Cheok-Lim Jit Nuan. On that day, it was a raining day. As a result of the rain, the event was postponed until the rain is over.
At 8.45a.m., we sang the National Anthem, Pledge and the School Song. Just after that, the Principal talked to us. The most interesting part in the speech is “I do not know what colors shirts I should wear? If I wear Red shirt, the Red house would be happy but the other houses would not be happy. If I wear Green shirt, the Green house would be happy, but the Red, Yellow and the Blue would not be happy. I thought for a long time. Finally, I decided to wear a white colors shirt and every one would be happy!” After the speech, the competitors from different houses march past us.
Then, it is time for the Fun Race for the Primary 3 and Primary 4!!! Then, it is the 50M Hurdles Primary 3 girls and primary 3 boys. The boys, who are sitting right behind me, were very excited in the events. They could be the announcers! One of them were so engrossed, didn’t even know that his sister had won the race! :D After that, it is the 100M Primary 4 boys, Primary 4 boys, Primary 5 girls, Primary 5 boys, Primary 6 girls and the Primary 6 boys.
After all the events, it is time for the first cheer competition!!! The people had really worked hard to win this competition. Then, it was time for Fun Race for Primary 5 and primary 6. We tried to run as fun as we can. After it is the interval.
The event up next is the 200M Primary 4 Girls, Primary 4 Boys, Primary 5 Girls, Primary 5 Boys, Primary 6 Girls and Primary 6 Boys. The next event is the open category 400M Girls and Boys. Then, it is the 400M Primary 4 Girls, Primary 4 Boys, Primary 5 Girls, Primary 5 Boys, Primary 6 Girls and Primary 6 Boys.
Right up next is the Second Cheer Competition. The last event is the Parents & Teachers’ race. At the close of the events our principal, Miss Chua, gave away prizes to the winners. The meet ended with the token of appreciation to the Guest of Honor, Mrs. Cheok. Then, we went home happily.

- Do not cut the nails (claws) of your pet too short or they may bleed. It's best to ask your vet to show you how to do this properly.
- Chocolates are never suitable for dogs. Don't feed chocolates to dogs.
- Never give cats Panadol. It could kill them.
- Keep hamsters separtely to prevent fighting and breeding.
- Sterilised dogs, cats and rabbits make happier and healthier pets.
- Be sure that you have resources and time to take care of a pet before you get one.
- Do not abandon your pet. If you have to give up your pet, please find another home for it. There are also boarding farms where you can board your pet for long terms. As a last resort you may bring it to SPCA or CAWC.
