26th October 2007 Today was the most boring day ever. Today, there was a Secondary School Promotion Talk. It was really boring. My friend, Jessy, even fell asleep in between the talk! :D I also almost fell asleep. Luckily, at 9.30am, my class was allowed to go to the Science Lab as we had DNA science lessons today. It was about genes. It was very interesting and I like it very much. The most important part of the lessons is about dominant genes and recessive genes. Isn’t it amazing? Do you know what are these two genes are? If no, I will tell you from the new knowledge I just gained….
A living person had a total of 46 genes. 23 of them came from nucleus in every cell. In the nucleus, the genes are in there. This is where our DNA is found. Yeah!
Oh yes! In the science lessons, we also had hands-on activity. We must work in pairs. I done with Jasmine. The activity’s name is ‘make a animal’. There is a ice-cube box, a box filled with accessories and there are three cards. We followed the intrusions and we made a strange animal!
Then, we had to go back to the talk again. Boring… There are a total of 6 secondary schools that came. All of them are near here! Yeah!
I am going to the Joy Factory on 3rd November 2007! I will be very busy one 1st November till 3rd November! Yahoo! I can enjoy myself! Okay, post next time! Yeah! Bye!
I went to my Grandmother's house which is situated at Bukit Panjang. It was really far... Even though it was really far, I like to go there. My grandmother is really joyful and friendly. She kept calling me to eat and eat and eat and the food is delicious. If I stayed there for a week, I would be like my zodiac, pig! HaHa
I had two grandmothers. One of them lived at Sembawang, Another grandmother lived at Bukit Panjang,. Both of my grandmothers had lots of grandchildren. Today, I am going to tell you about the grandmother who lived at Bukit Panjang. J
She is over sixty years old. Yet, she always likes to look really good. She had a habit of wearing sports shoes wherever she went. She also had a habit of wearing jeans too! She also likes to wear ankle socks. It is not just plain socks. She always chose those socks that had many cute cartoon pictures on it. My grandmother always wears those clothes that have different beautiful pictures on it. My grandmother is really friendly too. Wherever she went, she will always have friends. My grandmother likes to be beautiful too. Tell you a thing that happened not long before and you will know how she likes to be beautiful. That time, my mother and I went to her house. Her hair was usually curly and bouncy. But, this time her hair was straight! Her friends kept asking if she had grown thinner. But, she is still strong. J Then, my mother told her that maybe because it was the hair that makes her look like she is thinner. The next day in the morning, she ran to the barber and perms her hair so that her hair will be curly and bouncy again. Then she tells my aunt and my mother that she had grown younger ten years old! J Ha Ha! She was really happy about it. J
That will tell you how she likes to be beautiful! My grandmother likes to eat too! Every time, I went to her house, she will keep calling me to eat this and that. But, she is still very healthy. If I stayed there for a week, I would be like a pig. :D One time, my uncle brought my grandmother to USA and stayed there for 3 whole months. My grandmother doesn’t know how to speak English, but, she still could go shopping every day while my uncle went to work. J My grandmother had gone to many countries like England, Malaysia, Australia, China,Thailand and many other countries. My uncles and aunts brought her there.
Wish all devotees a good health and endless wealth luck.
The 6 years we been through J We are already Primary 6. At primary school (Punggol Primary School), we had been through lots of fun and interesting events. It will be an unforgettable events when we grown up. In this 6 years of primary school life, is very important and very unforgettable to us.
Besides our parents, teachers and classmates are our most important people. Teachers are always there to help us and improve our studies. They trust us, and no matter in studies or life, they always care about us. No matter how naughty we are, our teachers will still treat us like their children. Friends are really important to. In our class (P6-7), we are all good friends to each other. We always play and study together. When we had problem, friends will always help us. We had a lot wonderful memories together.
School is like our second home. If given a choice, we would never pick any other school, for Punggol Primary with teachers and students is like a second home to us and one that we will look back fondly when the times come for us to leave for another school to begin our secondary education. Primary school life is going to end soon. We must more appreciate the last one months and a few days in the Primary school life. Once out of school, we tend to lose touch with our primary school friends not because that we are indifferent but because of lack of interest. Instead, we have to concentrate on settling into our new life and environment, making new friends.

I am having fun this few days. I am very enjoyed and relaxed here. I am neither anxious nor nervous about getting the results. I had finished it, so what is the rush to get the results. What is done cannot be undone, right?
Have you ever wondered how Egypt is and why are there mummies in Egypt? There are lots of fascinating things at Egypt and I am going to tell you about it.
Once described by Herodotus, a Greek historian, as a land of ‘unspeakable greatness’, Egypt is famous for being the birthplace of one of the greatest civilizations in the world. Today, its spectacular monuments, which include the Great Sphinx of Giza, one of the largest statues on Earth carved out of a single stone, and the Giza Pyramids, continue to amaze and inspire.
Egypt is situated in north-eastern Africa, and Cairo, its largest city, is the capital. The river Nile, which runs through Egypt, is the longest river in the world. Ancient Egyptians used a form of hieroglyphs, which are actually small pictures.
Ancient Egyptians believed that the body had to be preserved because it was essential in one’s afterlife; Mummification – which dates back to 3300 BC – was practiced to preserve dead bodies. The process involved removing the internal organs, covering the ‘emptied’ body in a special kind of salt, and lastly wrapping it in sheets of white linen, followed by canvas. In most cases, the mummy would lay in a tomb. One of the most famous mummies in history is that of Rameses II, or Rameses the Great, who was an Egyptian Pharaoh. Rameses’ mummy is now on display at Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
14th October 2007 Today, I was really, really happy. Today, when I opened my e-mail, I found a letter sent by my second uncle. It was regarding the confirming booking of the Hong Kong Disney Land. We will be taking the flight SQ866 when we are going to Hong Kong and when we come back, we will take the flight SQ891. We will go there on Sunday, 9th December; we will be back at Singapore on Monday, 17th December. :D
THANK YOU SECOND UNCLE AND AUNT!!!
Now, it is after PSLE and we P6s can relax while all the other levels are preparing for their coming SA2. Now, in the class, we are not studying at all! We are reading storybooks, doing project, playing board games or card games and watching movie. Isn’t that relaxing? :) But, the other levels, must work really hard as their examinations is coming!!! So all the other levels, you all must work hard and pass with flying colors especially Xiang Yu, Xiang Yang, Xin Xuan, Jia Yi, Zhi Wei, Zhi Yu, Amabel and others! WORK HARDER TO ACHIEVE GOOD RESULTS! YEAH!
This week, I will be very, very busy. I will be going to my grandmother’s house and my godmother’s house. My aunt will also be inviting me to the Marriot Hotel to have a High Tea! It will be a very high one! Ha! Okay Bye! I will post again next time! :)
Hari Raya Puasa, all the Malays! I would like to wish all the Malays a Happy Hari Raya Puasa. There will be no school for all of us from 15th October till 19th October as there are PSLE markings days. YIPPEE! YAHOO!
Today the Malays will go home early as on Saturday, it is Hari Raya Puasa. It also means that the Malays will not need to fast on that day. My Malays friends are looking forward to that day. During Hari Raya Puasa season Muslim families send cards to their near and dear ones.
In Singapore Malays and Muslims of other races celebrate Hari Raya Puasa with a big feast. The celebration comes after a 30-day of fasting, which is called the month of Ramadhan. During the month they refrain from eating or drinking from five-thirty in the morning to the time of sunset.
Muslims believe that fasting purifies the soul of one who practices it. Every Muslim looks forward to the big day of feast, when he or she breaks fasting. Weeks before Hari Raya Puasa, every Muslim home is gaily decorated with new paint and colorful lights. Muslim women prepare cakes (kueh) and delicacies to be served on the day of celebration. They spend money on new clothing and other household needs.
On the day of Hari Raya Puasa all male members go to the mosque in the morning to say prayers for their happiness and prosperity. Women members, meanwhile, help in preparing the feast for the day. It is a day of merriment in every home. Every one is busy, greeting friends and enjoying sumptuous meals. In Malays home men, women and children wear their traditional dress as part of their custom. Some men wear ‘songkok’, a headress of the Muslims on important occasions. Every year during the season there is a public celebration in Geylang with illumination on streets, stage shows and a trade fair. Everyone takes part in the celebration to enjoy the sprit of the festival.
I wanted to specially wish my form teacher, Mdm Noraini, and all my Malaysclassmates aHAPPY HARI RAYA PUASA!!!

Have you ever wondered if snakes shade their skins? Have you ever wondered why snakes shed their skins? All right, I will tell you that and you’ll understand!
Typically, snakes shed their skin at least once a month. A few factors affect the frequency of shedding, such as: age, species, diet, temperature and their reproduction level. The shedding process is know as ecdysis (Psss… it is pronounced as ec-dee-sis) – all reptiles go through this process – and snakes shed their skin in one piece which include eye caps. Usually, younger snakes tend to shed more than adult snakes.
After the shedding the process, mating and giving birth take place. ‘In the blue’ is a term used to describe a snakes that is about to shed. The sighs include: dull skin, ‘bluish’ eyes and nervous behavioral patterns because their sight is slightly affected, but it will only last three to four days. The whole shedding process takes about seven to fourteen days.
There will be PSLE this few days so I will not be online! Gd Luck!
