Lunar New YearHi there everybody! Happy Lunar New Year to you all! Let me tell you what I did during the Lunar New Year and also the eve of it.
On the eve of Lunar New Year which is the 6th February. I went to the Chong Ghee Temple. I went there at 10.30p.m. I cycled there. When I reached there, the temple was packed with people. Anyway, I went there to countdown for the rat year. But first, I went prayed first. After that, I went to see the lion dance. There were 2 dragons and a few lions. It was really nice. We waited before the amazing part start. I took good place so that I can get a good view of the part. Soon, we were counting down from 10.When we counted to 0; the amazing part started which is the firework. It was really beautiful! I hope that you have seen it. It happened only for 10 minutes only and I hope that it was longer though! :P It was like watching the firework in Hong Kong Disneyland. It was so nice that the thing that came from the fireworks flew to my face! :D After that, everyone rushed back into the temple to get a small silk bag which contain an ‘ang bao’ and two mandarin oranges. At 1.30a
.m., I then cycled back home from the temple.
On the first day of Lunar New Year which is the 7th February, I went to my grandmother’s house first which is my father’s mother’s house. It was really far. After that, we went to my二伯’s house. After that, I then go to my干妈’s house. So, it’s like ‘zooming’ from Hougang to Sembawang to Yishun then back to Hougang again! :P
On the second day of Lunar New Year which is 8th February, I not need to go to other people’s houses to拜年! Many of my relatives came to my house. But, the first to arrive was my grandmother (mother’s mother)! The others then arrived.
On the third day of Lunar New Year, which is 9th February, I went to my grandmother’s house only. It is at Bukit Panjang. Okay, the Lunar New Year is quite fun and I got a lot of ‘ang bao’! Yahoo! how about you all? Okay, that’s all and has a happy lunar new year everyone!
