Stress! Mid – Year Exams!!!
Hi there everyone! It’s me again. Looks like I hadn’t post for a long time. Hope you all don't mind. As you know, mid-year exams are coming. I am so stress. Anyway, just found out some of the things of the mid-year examinations, so I would like to share with you all.
On 25th April, I got the ‘Art and Design’ mid-year paper. You may be surprised that how could I got the paper so fast. Its still haven’t had our ‘Art and Design’ examinations. Okay, I’ll list out the instructions to candidate, which are us.
1. Attempt only ONE question.
2. Write your name, index number, class and question number on the top right hand corner on the front page of the paper.
3. You are given TWO weeks to prepare for the paper. Use A3 size paper and/or write out your ideas during the preparation period. Hand in final work and preparatory studies together (not more than 3 A3 sheets of paper) with final work at the end of the exam.
4. You are to bring your own materials for the exam. All materials will be checked by the invigilator before the exam.
So have you all looked carefully at all that? I knew that you wanted to know what the questions are. Am I right? Okay, I am not so bad. I’ll let you see the questions. Anyway, let you guess which question I am doing! :)
1. Design an A4 size poster for the Singapore Botanical Gardens. The design should be based on nature. Use basic shapes, lines and dots to create graphic of animals, insects, flowers, etc. Include the text, “Singapore Botanical Gardens” in your poster design. Your completed artwork should be either is in full colours or shading. Your artwork should measure 20cm (length) x 30cm (height).
2. Design a wrapping paper. Your design should include elements of a local festival celebration. Your completed examination work should be based on Kandinsky’s style and in full colours. Your artwork should measure 30cm (length) x 20cm (height).
